To study the research progress of TCM treatment for children with cough variant asthma. The western treatment with hormones has many side effects and the disease is likely to relapse. The exces-sive use of antibiotics has reduced the immunity of children. Recently some TCM therapies, such as differ-entiation treatment, treatment based on stages, individualized treatment and external TCM treatment, have been presented, and are of great significance in the prevention and clinical treatment of this disease. It has long-lasting effect and is clinically superior to other treatments.
