Rosemary,belonging to thermophilic labiate,originated from Europe and the Mediterranean coast of North Africa,is widely used in medical clinics,fried food and the preservation of all kinds of oils and fats.It has been reported that rosemary has pharmacodynamic effects of anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,antibacterial,anticancer,liver protection etc.Therefore,it might have wide application in pharmacodynamics research for veterinary clinics.We reviewed the research progresses on the rosemary pharmacodynamics and its veterinary clinical application based on the literature,aiming at providing some references for exploitation and further studies on rosemary.
