The old woman images were rare in ancient literary works in our country. But in A Dream of Red Mansions,CAO Xueqin created two successful old woman images with distinct personality for us,i. e. Lady Dowager and Granny Liu. At both ends of the society,the two wise old women showed their wisdom,emotion and affairs of human life in the same stage.
