This paper explores the protection methods and the renewal strategies on ＂living heritage＂ for continuing industrial production and developing industrial heritage exhibition by a case study on the Fujian Mawei Vessel Administration which is the first military industry for shipbuilding in the late Qing dynasty, in order to provide new research ideas and methods for the protection and renewal of China＇s ascendant industrial heritage.
