In the post-crisis era, China has proposed to develop strategic emerging industries,and core technology alliance is an effective form to organize the strategic emerging industries. This article studies how the member companies of the core technology alliance create knowledge. On the basis of exploring the differences between the enterprises and alliance in the process of knowledge creation, this paper puts forward the theory model of the process of knowledge creation inside the core technology alliance. Prior to the assimilative stage, the knowledge creation of core technology alliance need undergo a preparation stage, which is the phase of building trust in allied enterprises. Study shows that the core technology alliance model of knowledge creation is only applicable to mutual trust, non-core enterprises. As the leaders of alliance, the core enterprises do not specifically involve in knowledge creation activities. They role are mainly reflected in the creation of cooperative R&D platform, as well as industrialization the research production.
