企业管理实践对主流战略管理理论关于企业宗旨陈述的理性结论提出了严峻挑战,本文试图通过文献回顾,梳理组织认定与宗旨陈述的关系,揭示组织认定对企业宗旨陈述的作用机理。文献回顾显示:(1)组织认定和企业宗旨陈述从不同的角度以不同的方式回答了企业之所以存在的根本问题。(2)组织认定的三个分析层次对企业宗旨陈述具有约束和指引作用。(3)从组织认定到企业宗旨陈述需要经历一个从隐性到显性、从非正式到正式、从非理性到理性、从抽象到具体的过程。(4)战略管理学者在未来的研究中应该重视组织认定对企业宗旨陈述的作用,并展开相应的实证研究。
The rational conclusion of the mainstream strategy management theory as to the mission statement has been challenged in the enterprise management practice. This paper tries to give the relationship between organizational identity and mission statement through the literature review, and reveal the mechanism that the organizational identity has an influence on the mission statement. Our literature review shows that: (1) both the organizational identity and mission statement give an answer to the question why the enterprises exist, but from different angles. (2) The three analysis levels of the organizational identity play a constraining and guiding role on the mission statement. (3) The process from the organization identity to the mission statement is also the process from the recessive to the dominant, from the informal to the formal, from the irrational to the rational, or from the abstract to the specific. (4) Strategic management scholars should pay more attention to the effects of organizational identity on the mission statement in future, and carry out the corresponding empirical study.
