A class of singularly perturbed second order linear boundary value problems with turning points are considered. The corner layer phenomena which may be occurring at turning points is analyzed. A composite expansion which is uniformly valid over the whole interval is constructed, and a zero-order approxi- mation solution of the problem is obtained using the immediate variable matching principle.
