The living conditions and qualities of herdsmen have been largely improved after the Settlement project, which lead to improve the exchange of information and knowledge. The settlement promotes the development of stock-raising cultures and changing the mode of husbandry production and management industrial structural. It also bring some challenges, e.g. the follow-up industrial development lacks systematic design and over-all planning, lacks the resources and elements that match the industrial development, and the lack of skills and knowledge that adapt to new mode of production.
