She has classified about 200 lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolates at the genus level according to their physiological-biochemical characteristics and detection results of API 50CH system. And she has also classified some LAB strains at species level by 16S rRNA sequence analysis and DNA- DNA hybridization. Some LAB strains can be used for acidophilus milk fermentation, bacteriocin production, and silage fermentation.
