文化是文学的＂源＂,它不光能提供给作家巨大的＂养分＂,也与作家审美品格的形成有着密切的联系。因此,文化在文学中不仅仅是表现对象,更是一种＂创造性的精神元素＂。新时期以来,路遥和贾平凹是陕西赫赫有名的代表作家,都曾获得茅盾文学奖,有着令人瞩目的文学成就。在二人的文学创作中,地域文化对他们的创作心理、创作主题、个人风格等方面,都有着显在或隐在的影响。路遥的作品被誉为是陕北的＂百科全书＂,将陕北人民琐碎的生活百态通过现实主义的方式表现得淋漓尽致,而贾平凹则深受巫楚文化等南国文化的影响,在记录陕南商州的风俗民情时则更显细腻。从美学的角度考察二人的创作,可以看到,路遥的个人风格与陕北的粗狂极为吻合,而贾平凹的文字中则流露出了山地的灵动。

Culture is where literature roots itself,providing writers with nutrition and thus forming a close tie with their artistic perception. Therefore,culture is not only to be reflected in literature but to participate in it as a＂creative spiritual element＂. Lu Yao and Jia Pingwa,both enjoying great fame,have been regarded as the representatives of the writers in Shanxi province in the New Era since 1980,as both of them have won the Maodun Literature Award and great achievement in literature. In their works,the influence of the regional culture on their writing psychology,theme and style can be detected,either explicitly or implicitly. Luyao＇s works are crowned as the＂encyclopedia＂of the culture of the northern Shanxi,which depict the details of people＇s life by the means of realism so thoroughly and completely. Meanwhile,under the influence of the ancient cultures of the Chu State and other southern states in the Warring States Period,Jia Pingwa describes the customs of southern Shanxi with a touch of subtle fineness. In the perspective of aesthetics,Lu Yao＇s style strikes in with the crudeness in the culture of northern Shanxi,and Jia Pingwa＇s works reveal a subtle beauty in the mountains of southern Shanxi.
