莫言获诺贝尔文学奖的重要经验在于创作出既古老又新潮、既传统又现代、既富于民族性又具有世界性的文本。幼年时以“用耳朵阅读”的方式接受《聊斋志异》故事和高密民间口头文学传统,形成其文学创作的“本我”,经过莫言在向西方现代派文学的学习中所发现的福克纳与加西亚·马尔克斯的激发而被唤醒。文章立足文本,探究了莫言小说如何在西方文学视界中,以当代人的眼光对《聊斋志异》从故事内容、小说艺术到创作精神层面进行承传与改造、创新,认为莫言小说是继《聊斋志异》之后,中国小说发展到当代阶段的另一高峰。
Mo Yan's important experience in winning the Nobel Prize for Literature lies in his production of literary texts both ancient and trendy, traditional and modern, and national and cosmopolitan. In his childhood, Mo Yah listened to and accepted Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio and folk oral literature of Gaomi, thus forming his "ego" in his literary creation which was later stimulated and awaken in his discovery of William Faulkner and Garcia Marcks during his study of western modernist literature. Based on the literary text, this paper aims to explore how Mo Yah' s novels have inherited, transformed and renovated Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio in terms of its story content, artistic skills and its writing style from the perspective of western literature and in the view of contemporary readers. It is opined that Mo Yan' s fiction is another peak in the contemporary development of Chinese novels after Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio.
