This paper deals with an Geom/Geom/1 queue with working vacations and N-policy and set-up time.The server works at a lower rate during the working vacations rather than stops working.Using quasi-birth-death chain and matrix-geometric solution method,the steady-state distributions for queue size and the probability generating function for wating time are obtained.Additionally,the structure of conditional stochastic decomposition of the queue size and the wating time are proved.
