以1998-2007年在（Annals of Tourism Research》、《Tourism Management》和《Journal of Travel Research》E发表的1500多篇文献为研究样本，运用聚类方法，将其分为三个阶段，即1998-1999年、2000-2006年和2007年。从各阶段中选取1998年、2003年和2007年为样本年份，就研究内容、研究方法、关注区域和文献来源等方面进行比较分析，了解国外旅游研究近10年的发展变化趋势。结果显示：旅游者行为、旅游业、基础理论研究、旅游管理和目的地研究一直是国外研究的重点内容；国外旅游研究文献主要来自旅游业发达国家和地区，发展中国家较少；研究关注的区域依次是北美洲、欧洲、亚洲和大洋洲等；研究方法主要集中在因子分析、相关分析、回归分析、聚类分析和经济模型分析等方面。
英文摘要：
Sampled the literature of annals of tourism research,tourism management and journal of travel research from 1998 to 2007,this thesis categorizes 1500 articles by using cluster analysis into three stages, 1998-1999,2000-2006 and 2007. From the three stages the year 1998,2003 and 2007 are chosen to find out the trend of tourism research in recent ten years by comparing the research content, author nationalities, regarded regions, and analysis method. The analysis shows that tourist behavior, tourism industry, basic theory, tourism management and research on destination are always the focus of research, the regarded regions are mainly North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, and the primary analysis tools are centralized on factor analysis and principal component analysis, correlations analysis, cluster analysis, multiple regression and econometric models.
