The standard electricity market scheme is a set of rules designed for the electricity market with the aim of providing the standard design to make the rule fare, transparent, and stable, and to guide the market to develop healthily. The principle and importance of establishing the standard electricity market scheme are discussed, and research on the standard electricity＇market both abroad and at home is introduced. According to the status quo of electricity market reform in China and the next step requirement, the method and content of the electricity market design for China are proposed.
