本文通过对比性案例研究论证了自主NPD模式是中国制造业企业实现新产品开发的可靠路径．分别选取机车行业和汽车行业一家企业的新产品开发实践作为案例研究对象，研究表明：在自主权、产品平台、“市场换技术”效果和创新能力4个维度的比较中，自主NPD模式优于嵌入NPD模式，提出以独立产品平台为基础，坚持自主产品开发，并在全球范围内集成先进技术为关键成功要素的自主NPD模式．
英文摘要：
Based on comparative case study, it demonstrates that independent NPD mode is a reliable path for China＇s manufacturing industry. The two new product development practices from the locomotive industry and the automotive in- dustry are chosen as objects. The result shows that the independent NPD mode is better than the embedded NPD mode on the four dimensions of autonomy, product platform, effect of ＂market for technology＂ and innovation capacity. It al- so points out that the key success factors of the independent NPD mode include independent product platform, self-cen- tered product development and the global integration of advanced technology.
