从明代中后期开始,随着木材的流动,清水江流域中下游地区的林业商品经济逐渐繁荣。导致了当地的人民以林业生产为生计,不少外地人也进入该地区进行林业经营。然而人工营林是一种长周期的产业,具有极大的风险性。为了林业经营的成功,他们在林业生产的实践中通过签订林业契约,以制度保证产权稳定,确保林业生产长周期进行。
With the timber trade from the middle and late Ming Dynasty led to the increasing prosperity of forestry commodity economy in the areas of the middle and lower reaches of the Qingshuijiang River. The local people began to focus their livelihood on forestry production and many timber businessmen arrived in the areas for timber trades. The industry of man - made forestry, however, is a longcycle business with high risks. For successful forestry business, the local people in the areas signed contracts to guarantee forestry properties and production stability so as to ensure the long- cycle production. Based on the reviews of the ancient contracts at Wendou Village and field investigations, the present study is to demonstrate the long- cycle features of forestry management.
