中医药在治疗精神疾病方面有一定疗效,但心神与脑神之争等基础理论问题,严重阻碍了中医药在精神疾病诊治中的应用。为探讨以脑神为主的精神疾病的辨治方法的理论基础与临床实践,文章总结了国家级名老中医王彦恒主任医师应用生石膏治疗各种精神疾病的临床经验。王彦恒老师认为生石膏可以清热泻火、重镇安神,配伍各种引经药物,清五脏六腑上扰脑神之火邪,能治疗精神分裂症、双相情感障碍、躁狂发作、焦虑症、失眠等精神科常见病症,也可用于减轻或消除精神科药物不良反应。这种以脑神为核心的辨治方法比以心神或脏腑为核心的辨证论治有其自身的优越性,值得探讨和总结。
英文摘要：
Traditional Chinese medicine（TCM） has certain curative effect in treating mental diseases, but the controversy between heart-shen and brain-shen, seriously hindered the application of TCM in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. In order to study the theoretical basis and clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment of mental diseases based on brainshen, the article summarized the essence of more than 50 years of academic experience from famous TCM doctor WANG Yanheng, especially the clinical experience in treating mental diseases with gypsum. Doctor WANG Yan-heng considered that gypsum with the effects of clearing heat-fire and tranquillization with heavy prescription, with the help of channel-guide medicines, could clear up the heat of five zang-organs to tranquilize brain-shen, and applied in the treatment of common psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, insomnia, psychiatric adverse drug reactions and so on. The diagnosis and treatment methods with brain-shen as the core as was more effective than the diagnosis and treatment methods with heart-shen or viscera as the core, and worth exploring and summarizing.
